The owner of this Balmain Victorian shop-fronted terrace approached us to create a new office space for her accountancy firm. The design responds to both the heritage constraints of the building and the modern outgoing nature of the client and her brief for a funky, yet functional space. We achieved the eclectic feel with elements such as the curved lime reception desk and the contrasting original Japan black floorboards throughout. It was important to tie the geographical location into the interior; which was achieved by using natural sandstone for the main dividing wall, which also doubles as the signage display.
