Idyllically located overlooking Sydney’s majestic Hyde Park, this 2 bedroom apartment underwent a playful transformation in order to align to a contemporary lifestyle. The abundance of natural light and gorgeous outlook were the key aspects considered when reconfiguring the dated floor plan to modern living standards.

We were engaged by the owner with a brief for functionality and beauty to be balanced with ingenuity of providing clever storage opportunities. The design solution removed existing kitchen and laundry walls to create a free flowing open space. Cleverly blending practicality aspects with a thoughtful aesthetic, the new laundry & butler’s pantry were integrated behind the kitchen joinery.

Upon entering the apartment your eye is drawn to the generous open plan kitchen, which creates a new unimpeded line of vision through to the living space and out over the magnificent views of Hyde Park. Perfect for entertaining! Extensive stone features throughout deliver grandeur to the kitchen, bathrooms and living room, while subtly hued wallpapers and soft furnishings turn the seating nook and master robe into welcoming, cosy retreats. A fresh & soft pallet of materials continue through each of the bathrooms, coupled with custom designed features such as detailed mirror joinery, finished with the inclusion of stylish make-up lighting.

Finally, the playful inclusion of art such as (‘LA Like Ice In The Sunshine #26 & Origins #1’ – from .M Contemporary Gallery), and furniture selections add layered styling to this modern sophisticated interior, creating a timeless appeal. All finishes, furniture and art selected are reflective of the vibrant owner.
